Cover Letter from the OSGeo Board
The board of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) is presenting this letter to the geospatial community at large. The letter highlights concerns about the need for standards in LiDAR data formats, from many people within the OSGeo community. Although specific organizations are named in the letter, the OSGeo Board of Directors would like to focus on the general importance of standards in the industry, as we all share the same goal of making geospatial information easily accessible to users.
