I am Chetan Mahajan, a grad student in GeoComputational Systems and IoT Research Group, at Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering, IIT Bombay. I will be contributing to istSOSμ support for STAC as a part of GSoC 2024. +
I am an employee at Regional Center of Geo-Informatics and Space Technology, Lower Northern Region, Naresuan University (GISTNU) and I also studying a master degree of Geographic Information Science (GISci) at Naresuan University, Thailand. I studing at Asst.Prof.Dr.Sittichai Choosumrong laboratory. Regarding my working at GISTDA@NU and my topic on my master degree is I am using FOSS4G with my works and my research. Belong to my works at GISTDA@NU, I contribute FOSS4G by giving workshop on QGIS, Openlayers etc. and many participants were attended.
Belong to my study, I doing research based on Open Source Software using FOSS4G, Openlayers, MapServer ,GeoServer, pgRouting, GRASS, ZOO-Project etc.
I have created QGIS community group in Thailand with more than 4,500 members are joining. We usually promote OSGeo in Thailand not only giving workshop but also conducting FOSS4G Thailand conference as a committee member.
Sometime I used to have skype meeting with Prof.Venkatesh Raghavan laboratory at Osaka City University (OCU) in Japan to discusses and share about my works and OCU student works.
I had submitted my proposal title "Bringing pyModis to the web throught ZOO-Project" and it had been accepted on Google Summer of Code 2016. (https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/archive/2016/projects/5493393094344704/)
I also used to attend FOSS4G Thailand on December 2015 and now I am focusing only using FOSS4G on my works because FOSS4G is a very powerful tools for my project. +

I belong to several groups that support the development of FOSS4G (Geoinquietos Madrid, AESIG as vocal y QGIS España Association as treasurer) and I attempt to contribute to the use of free GIS and creation of Open Databases, as well as participation in humanitarian mapping events or local development.
In the last years, I have attended several national events (SIGLibre and Geocamp) and also international ones (FOSS4G and FOSS4G EU) all ones related to Open Sources and Free GIS. I have contributed to the preparation of the FOSS4G EU Sevilla candidacy in 2017 and I've organized Geocamp 2018 in Madrid. In 2019 I was part of the organization committee of International QGIS User Conference & Hackmeeting held in A Coruña (Spain). +
Carlos is graduated in Geology from Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), in 2005, Post Graduated in Basin Analysis and Mobile Belts from UERJ, with a Master’s Degree in Applied Geophysics (2008) and PhD in Petrology and Geochemistry (2012).
He has 15 years of experience in using FOSS4G, acquired and applied at the Environmental and Water Resources Institute (IEMA/ES), from Espírito Santo State and at the Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB/CPRM).
Carlos is currently one of the SGB/CPRM’s representatives at Spatial Data Infrastructure of Brazil (INDE) and member of Technical Implementation Group (TIG) of OneGeology. He is also leader of the Data Science Nucleus (NDS) of the SGB/CPRM.
He is actually working in research and development of new and disruptive technologies, in addition to proposing out-of-the-box solutions for internal geoscientific problems and those of partner institutions, with outstanding performance as an architect, developer, mediator and consultant in Spatial Data Infrastructures, desktop, server and mobile GIS, remote sensing, geographic database systems and OGC/ISO 19100 Series standards.
He is also a specialist in Python, PHP and Javascript, geospatial APIs and Data Analytics – Including with training given to SGB/CPRM, IBGE and Embrapa’s employees. +
I am a freelance web developer, graphic designer and GIS specialist under the pseudonym CodeMacabre, and a learning technologist at the School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University. I have a strong interest in web mapping, procedural generation and experimental interaction systems and I am an open-source and open data advocate. +
Cristian has been contributing to different FOSS4G projects and events from the beginning of his Developer career. He is a member of Geoinquietos Argentina and a geomatics and OSS enthusiast. He participated in the organization of the FOSS4G-AR Conferences in 2016 and 2017 and leaded the IT team of the SDI of Argentina for six years. Currently, he is also an IT Director and works for the SDI of Formosa Province, Argentina. +
Cristina is a Technical Engineer in Topography. She started using gvSIG in 2010 and since then she has been a prominent user in many OsGeo software: qGIS, OpenLayers, Leaflet, GeoNetwork, GeoServer, postGIS,... She is an active OSM user since 2014.
Cristina is also part of the GeoInquietos group in Sevilla and has participated and organizaed many local and regional geo events, usually related to foss and open data like mapping parties.
She is interested in accessibility to the built environment. +
Charlie Schweik is a social scientist who studies commons-based peer production efforts generally, and teaches GIS in his university's Environmental Conservation and Public Policy and Administration programs. He is interested in building OSGeo and the GeoForAll effort toward true global collaboration in open source geospatial related research and education. +

Daniele is a young enthusiastic developer devoted to open source Geospatial. He successfully contributed to the GRASS and istSOS community. He developed GIS tools for flood risk, landslide susceptibility and glacier retreat analysis and he has been working on the implementation of the istSOS software. In addition, he experienced the web platforms development using the well-known Javascript libraries (Leaflet, Openlayer) and different OGC compliant open source software for data and map sharing. +

I have been a supporter of OpenSource software for Geomatics for long. I am working at IGN (French National Mapping Agency) and promotes openness and free software internally (e.g., at IGN's school, namely ENSG -- École Nationale des Sciences Géographiques, Géomatique --) and externally (past contributor to Geoserver, french translations, committer to PROJ.4 and GDAL, user of many OSS). I managed the French Geoportal project, which is based
on opensource software like Geoserver, OpenLayer, PROJ.4, GDAL, etc ... and has a big PostgrSQL/PostGIS backend.I am also involved in local chapter's FOSS4G and member of the FOSS4G Europe 2017 organizing committee (logistics, workshops, codesprint and communication). +

Doug Newcomb has a BS and MA in Geography and is an advocate of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in general and geospatial software specifically. Doug has used Linux (Red Hat, CentOS,Debian,Ubuntu) since 1996. Employed at various government environmental agencies since 1990. Specializes in use of GRASS with incomplete LiDAR data to derive landscape scale (statewide) forest canopy structure data. +
Joana is a software developer, data scientist and strategist in the field of geospatial information and technologies. She has worked in different environments, ranging from academia to industry, and has always advocated for FOSS in general, and FOSS4G in particular. When working at the United Nations, she led the migration of a code base, from proprietary technologies to FOSS, and refactored the FAO GIS course, to take advantage of FOSS4G. Joana uses a myriad of FOSS4G technologies on her daily work and during her free time, and has occasionally contributed to projects such as QGIS, or GeoNetwork. She joined the local chapters of the countries where she lived (e.g.: UK, Spain) and currently she is serving as a board member at the Portuguese Local chapter. +
