OSGeo Experience and Roles:
Evelyn is a Professor in Geoinformatics and the lead of the Landscape Geoinformatics Lab at the University of Tartu. She is a geospatial scientist whose primary research interests lie in large-scale geospatial data management, data quality, and environmental modelling. Her last five-year research focus has been on machine learning based predictive spatial modelling of environmental variables. She utilises open-source solutions in her research and teaches several core courses on geospatial analysis using open-source tools at the University of Tartu. She has completed the #30DayMapChallenge three times using open-source tools. Some examples can be found here.
She is also a board member of the Estonian Geoinformatics Society. She was a member of the organising committee for FOSS4G Europe in Tartu, Estonia.
