My Mission Developing a variety of open-source tools to make GIS standards easier and simpler to use
Biography Taehoon is a Researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. His major research areas include spatial (spatiotemporal )databases, mobility analysis, spatial analysis, GIS data modeling, and data mining. He works as an expert on international GIS standards published by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). He also joined an OGC Working Group for Moving Features and IndoorGML; he now co-chairs OGC IndoorGML and serves as a main editor of OGC API – Moving Features (OGC API – MF). As part of his work, he developed software to implement these standards, including an OGC API – MF server implementation with pygeoapi and MobilityDB, moving-features visualization tools based on CesiumJS, and more.
