This page describes possible venues to choose from for the Montreal Code Sprint 2011

Option 1 - CMM Option 2 - UQAM
Host/Location Communauté Métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM)

1002, Sherbrooke West, suite 2400, Montreal QC

Geography Department of Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM)

"Pavillon Hubert-Aquin (A)" 400, Sainte-Catherine East, Montreal QC

Notes
  • Only available on week days (office hours). Weekend sprint not possible at this location.
  • There is a tiny possibility that access to the larger conference room may be requested at the last minute by city management (e.g. the mayor) in case they need it for a last minute meeting. In this case we would be temporarily relocated for that day (just that day, not all 4 days) to other smaller rooms. This is a city owned conference room so we need to leave them priority but the chances of something like this happening are very low (~1% probability).
  • Only available around the mid-term break and weekends. i.e. week of Feb 28 - March 4th
  • It is preferable to not start the sprint on a Saturday/Sunday in case of logistic problems during our setup (accessibility, power, internet, etc.) since the university's support staff is mostly available during the week
Possible dates Note that a WhereCamp is planned (update: but not confirmed yet) for the afternoon of the day preceding the code sprint, followed by a "5 à 7" (icebreaker).
  • Tue Feb 8 - Fri Feb 11, 2011 (week)
  • Tue Mar 1 - Fri Mar 4, 2011 (week)
  • Tue Mar 15 - Fri Mar 18, 2011 (week)
  • Tue Mar 22 - Fri Mar 25, 2011 (week)
  • Tue Mar 1 - Fri Mar 4, 2011 (week)
  • Thu Mar 3 - Sun Mar 6, 2011 (weekend)
Internet Private subnet with all ports open on their 100Mbits network.
