FOSS4G abstracts announced

A comprehensive range of exciting abstracts has been announced for the international Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial conference, in Sydney, Australia, 20-23 October 2009.

Abstracts are being presented by the best international Developers, Policy Makers, Sponsors, Decision Makers and Geospatial Professionals who are showing off the latest geospatial applications, standards, government programs, business processes and case studies.

Abstracts cover mobile platforms, location based applications, crowd sourcing, cloud computing, development and uptake of spatial standards, integration of cross-agency data through Spatial Data Infrastructures, Sensor Webs and Web Processing Services, Integration of Open Source and Proprietary, along with the latest developments, case studies and business models.

Over 150 community members selected 85 general abstracts from 183 submitted, with a further 12 academic abstracts were selected by by 52 academic peers.
