On a semi-related note, I started a table that includes links to binary packages (if existing) for all the current OSGeo projects. I just built it as a menu for people hunting for binaries, but it might be a helpful index for you to track links to source and binaries you will include. Do with it what you will - I'm sure it's out of date by now :)
