Background

I (Daniele Nascimento) majored in International Relations for my undergraduate degree and studied Statistics from 1998 to 2004 in Universidade de Brasilia (Brazil). My specialization was an MBA in Strategic Marketing Management in Fundacao Getulio Vargas (Brazil).

In my last professional experience I worked with Search Engine Pay per click advertising or Sponsored Search Listings (Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture), where i also took [certifications] in online marketing from Marketing Experiments Professional Certification Program (USA). Now I live in Osaka, Japan and I am researching towards a masters degree. My focus is Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) technologies my thesis will be a foresight study analysing FOSS GIS trends.

My interest in OSGeo appeared after I arrived in Japan and learned about the studies in FOSS4G that are taking place at Osaka City University. I was thrilled to be invited to participate in marketing commitee and I hope that I can contribute in a positive way to improve OSGeo's visibility.
