Hosting Organization and Local Community

Supporting local organizations will include OSGeo China, State Key Lab of Resources and Environmental Information System, local GIS Company (SuperMap, Mapbar, MapGIS, ESRI China, AutoDesk China, Google China, etc.), and students from Chinese Academy of Science and so on.

More and more open source communities from China pay lots of attention on GIS development. FOSS4G in China will also get support from local open source communities.

Local organizing committee is OSGeo China, in which major members come from Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Science. OSGeo China will keep contact with the board and conference committees of OSGeo. And we will report the latest approach to committees termly.
