Second entry I'm squeezing in under the deadline. Since I didn't see any entries with ships, I designed this quick entry based on the Nantucket Lightship - one of which is or has been in the harbor. The ship, with FOSS4G on the side like 'Nantucket' on the side of the real ship (I couldn't find a similar, squarish font, that was close), has the ribbon off the back like a flag. The sign has Boston on it, with the ribbon as decoration. The date appears as a shadow in the water. A lot more could be done with texture to better define the water and dock side.
