Myself works as Assistant professor at IIIT, Hyderabad and associated with Lab for Spatial Informatics of IIIT as well as with OSGeo-India.My basic research interest includes management of natural resources using geospatial tools and promoting awareness about the utility of Open source geospatial software. Published 45+ research papers in national and international journals, apart conference/symposium/seminars. Actively involved in various open source related training activities conducted by OSGeo-India. Basically teach ILWIS and OpenJump. At IIIT I teach Remote sensing and Environmental science Courses.

Following are few activities related to Opensource technology promotion. •Organizing Secretary of International Conference “FOSS4G ASIA 2017”-Empowering communities through geospatial Innovation from 26th-29th Feb, 2017 at IIIT-Hyderabad, India. •Organized a two day workshop on “Role of open source geospatial tools in natural resource management” on 14th and 15th July, 2016 at Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada. •Conducted a two day workshop -“Awareness programme on application of geospatial technology for academia from Botany, Zoology and Environmental studies” 2nd -3rd February, 2016 in collaboration with Maris Stella College, Vijayawada. •Convener for the First National Conference on Open source geospatial resources to spearhead development and growth, IIIT-H, October 25-27, 2012. •Coordinator for the Second National Conference on Open source geospatial tools in climate change research and natural resource management, Dehradun, June, 8-10, 2015.

Resource person for following training programmes. 1.Resource person for Hands on training on ILWIS in DST sponsored 21day winter school on geospatial technologies at Chitkara University, Pinjore, Himachal Pradesh, 5th and 6th Dec, 2017. 2.Resource person for one week stakeholder training programme on “Capacity building workshop on geospatial data management for Biodiversity conservation in Western Ghats for Kerala, Tamilnadu and Karnataka states” jointly organized by OSGeo-India and IIIT-H, June 20th -25th, 2016, funded by Asia Pacific Network 3.Resource person for one week stakeholder training programme on “Capacity building workshop on geospatial data management for Biodiversity conservation in Western Ghats for Goa, Giujarat and Maharastra states” jointly organized by OSGeo-India and IIIT-H, Feb 29th -5th March, 2016, funded by Asia Pacific Network 4.Resource person in two weeks training programme on “Capacity building workshop on geospatial data management for Biodiversity conservation in Western Ghats” jointly organized by OSGeo-India and IIIT-H, 8th -19th December, 2015, funded by Asia Pacific Network. 5.Resource person for Hands on training on OpenJump and ILWIS software in five days workshop on “Free and Open Source Geospatial Technologies (FOSS4G) for Urban Environment Applications (mapping, inventorying and Monitoring)” 1st to 5th April,2015 organized at Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, India. 6.Resource person for Hands on training on OpenJump in two days workshop on “Real time GIS” held at Geography Department, Central University of Gulbarga, Karnataka, 16th February, 2015. 7.Resource person for Hands on training on OpenJump, in five days training workshop on “Western Ghats Biodiversity using Free and Open Source Geospatial (Foss4g) Tools” 24th and 25th February, 2014, organized at Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, India. 8.Resource person for Hands on training on ILWIS and OpenJump in two days workshop “Frontiers in Geospatial technology” on 1st and 2nd July, 2013, organized by Department of Geography, Central University of Karnataka, Gulbarga. 9.Resource person for Hands on training on ILWIS during 21 days “Summer Training Programme on Geospatial Technology and Applications under NRDMS Programme in DST, Govt. of India”, Summer School – GEOMATICS-2012, organised in the Department of Geography, The University of Burdwan, Burdwan- 18th May, 2012. 10.Trained students of Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific, IIRS campus, Dehradun on OpenJump (GIS) - 2nd April, 2012 11.Given one day training on OpenJump (GIS) software at Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Bhopal National Symposium on“Empowering rural India through space technology” – 6th November, 2011 at Bhopal. 12.Delivered lectures on OpenJump (GIS) software for EDUSAT Programme lab sessions conducted by IIRS, Dehradun from 6th -9th September, 2011. 13.Conducted three days training programme (6th – 8th January, 2011) on ILWIS software (RS-Image processing) for IOWA university students at Department of Geoinformatics, Gandhi Gram Rural University, Madurai. 14.Team member for conducting training workshop (9-12th April, 2011) on “Open source Geospatial Tools in Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM)”, using SAGA (GIS) software held at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad.
