* Venue is identified in Fort Collins, Colorado; Travel support is available within the US and also, international

* Third one is planned in Barcelona, Spain, end of November; Venue is confirmed
* Note: FOSS4G Hiroshima is in August 2026

* No seed money request.
* Request for: Travel grant - $3000, Marketing and branding - $1000, Code Sprint - $500

* We currently have 2000$ in the travel grant for this year, 500$ for the code sprint.

* Proposal to do the AGM separately from the conference. The last session is not a good time, participation is low and everyone is tired from the conference.
* Feedback that OSGeo ID is too difficult to get. Getting people involved has to be very easy.

Joana is the founder of ByteRoad, an R&D company in the field of spatial data infrastructures and leads Developer Relations at OGC. She is also a reviewer for the European Commission, and has been deeply involved in education, teaching the next generation of full-stack developers and data analysts.

The sprint is also an opportunity for your developers to meet with the core developers of the projects, get a deeper insight into the software and participate in the development.

The Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) has a [https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Category:Code_Sprints longstanding tradition] of organizing code sprints for developers of Open Source geospatial software.

An international community/code sprint for OSGeo will take place from 29 September to 03 October 2025.

Over 80 developers from all over the world are expected to attend, from various [https://www.osgeo.org/, OSGeo] projects. Whether desktop application, geospatial library, metadata catalogue or web mapping: be sure to find products in the list that you use. The sprint is also an opportunity for your developers to meet with the core developers of the projects, get a deeper insight into the software and participate in the development.
