I am employed by Traverse Technologies and am a member of the charter board establishing a US chapter of Open Street Map. Key projects include OpenStreetMap focusing on the Washington DC area through the [http://mappingdc.org MappingDC] group. I contribute to mapping parties, contribute to data imports for DC, and outreach to other interested government agencies. I am an advocate for, and user of open source GIS software for web mapping applications and analysis.
