Theses are the final results from the [[Election 2017|2017 elections]] for the open seats of the OSGeo Board of Directors. The formal announce was made on the discuss mailing list on [http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Election-2017-Board-Nominations-td5335627.html this thread]. There were '''five''' seats open and they have been filled by (alphabetical order):

* Dirk Frigne
* Jody Garnett
* Jeff McKenna
* Helena Mitasova
* Venkatesh Raghavan
* María Arias de Reyna
* Sanghee Shin
* Vicky Vergara

Thanks to all candidates for going through the elections and exposing themselves. Overall voting participation was '''79%%''' (308 out of 390) and there were no tie scores to arbitrate. One candidate withdraw during the voting period. A final position is expected from the candidate ASAP. Thank you to all who voted!
