<p>Created page with &#039;=USB testing required if we are to hand out OSGeo-Live on a USB at FOSS4G?= 13 August 2010 OSGeo-Live now has 43 of the best GeoSpatial Open Source applications packaged on it,…&#039;</p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>=USB testing required if we are to hand out OSGeo-Live on a USB at FOSS4G?=<br /> <br /> 13 August 2010<br /> <br /> OSGeo-Live now has 43 of the best GeoSpatial Open Source applications packaged on it, along with marketing docs, many quick starts, and overviews of the key OGC standards.<br /> <br /> The FOSS4G Organising Committee have budget to distribute OSGeo-Live on a USB for all delegates, but we have insufficient testing of the USB to be comfortable to let this go ahead.<br /> <br /> If we can get test results from enough people by the end of this coming weekend, Sunday 15 August, we give every delegate at FOSS4G OSGeo-Live on a USB, otherwise we roll back to the stable and well tested DVD format.<br /> <br /> Here is the deal:<br /> <br /> If we get:<br /> ; 30+ Test results, from a variety of computers, and all show-stopping issues are resolved:<br /> : An OSGeo-Live USB will be handed out to every FOSS4G delegate<br /> <br /> ;10+ test results, from different computers, we will hand out OSGeo-Live USBs to the (more forgiving) FOSS4G presenters.
