He holds a Ph.D. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta.&lt;br /&gt;
His doctoral research focused on satellite validation of remote sensing of global vegetation dynamics, landscape ecophysiology, and ecosystem productivity monitoring using networks of wireless IoT sensors.&lt;br /&gt;
Cassidy lives in Calgary Alberta and has founded several companies for UAV-based surveying and geospatial analytics for insurance, agriculture, forestry, mining, and construction.&lt;br /&gt;
He currently works on using airborne, orbital, and terrestrial sensing technologies for vegetation inventory modeling for enhanced forestry and environmental management.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
