Our inaugural meetup was kindly sponsored by SensorUp whose own Abraham Poorazizi also presented a talk on the modern IoT platform he is helping to build with open source technologies with the SensorUp team.
Attendees were pleased to hear that Assembly CoWorking Space had agreed to provide regular meeting space to meet monthly on the first Wednesday from 5.30-7.30.
No formal minutes were taken.
Suggestions and objectives from the first meeting are now incorporated into the wiki page for the Alberta Chapter.
Essentially, while there was agreement generally to more formally structure the chapter, most were looking for the chapter meetups to serve as an informal space to share knowledge, successes, and challenges with others in the field.
