I'm a researcher in International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, now I'm working on a project called EcoSystemData an integrated repository of data for ICES (ecosystemdata.ices.dk). EcoSystemData stores several large datasets such as Biological Community, Contaminants and Biological effects, Hydrographic and Fish Trawl Survey. The main goal of EcoSystemData is to work as an aggregation and data delivery service where different types of data can coexist and interact for multiple purposes, e.g. large ecosystem management decision support tools and fisheries management. The system has a dedicated web application with GIS interface developed in OpenLayers.
