Call For Workshops Content

Hyperbole

The Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) 2007 Organising Committee is pleased to announce the Call for Workshops for this year's conference, being held between September 24th and 27th in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

FOSS4G is the premier conference for the open source geospatial community, providing a meeting place for developers, users, and people new to open source geospatial to get a full-immersion treatment in the latest soothing and trendy technologies.

This is your chance to showcase your favourite application, integrated solution, or other topic. You will use your superior classroom skills to lead a group of students through your chosen topic in either a half-day or ninety minute lab format. Half-day labs will be delivered during the official workshops space on the first day of the conference, while the ninety minute labs will run concurrently with the presentations during the rest of the conference.

While we are absolutely open to a wide range of topics, we would like to see the following covered: Buzzword of the year (NeoGeography), Interoperability, Web Mapping, Stack in a Box (data store, editing, presentation), and an Introduction workshop. We would also like to see a wide range of technologies (Java, Python, PHP, ECMAScript, etc) covered; the more the merrier.

Submit early, submit often!
