2011 Milestones
This initial list largely based on FOSS4G 2010 list (with conference date changed from Sep 6-10 to Sep 12-16)
We should possibly add some earlier items, maybe including the following:
- LOC membership confirmed, roles and sub-committees defined
- Detailed plan developed
- Sponsorship brochure completed
- Initial outreach to potential sponsors
The following is based on last year's list, we need to review and adjust if necessary

- 30 Jan 2011, Call for Workshops/Tutorials closes
- 1 Feb 2011, Call for Abstracts opens
- 16 Feb 2011, Notification of acceptance for workshops/tutorials
- 22 Feb 2011, Registration for workshop and tutorials opens
- 15 Apr 2011, Abstract submission deadline
- 20 May 2011, Presenters notified of acceptance for talks
