GeoForAll GeoCrowd will be a central repository for tools, links, systems, ideas, papers and other materials related to the exciting and fast moving domain of Volunteered Geographic Information, Geocrowdsourcing and Citizen Science. Of particular interest are VGI, Geocrowdsourcing and Citizen Science projects or examples which use Free and Open Source Software for Geomatics (FOSS4G). Essentially The GeoForAll GeoCrowd theme will attempt to answer the challenge of demonstrating and documenting how citizens (arranged in small groups, large groups or large geographically dispersed crowds) are generating, collecting, analysing, researching, managing geographic data and information. How are FOSS4G software technologies being utilised? Are citizens generating (and consuming) Open Data?

The citizen now has immense power to make a change and make a contribution to their society and a sustainable future in a natural environment protected and enhanced for this generation and those yet to come.

2. OpenTreeMap OpenTreeMap is a collaborative platform for crowdsourced tree inventory, ecosystem services calculations, urban forestry analysis, and community engagement.(checked August 2015)
3. Philly Tree Map PhillyTreeMap is a web-based map database of trees in the greater Philadelphia region. The wiki-style database enables non-profits, government, volunteer organizations, and the general public to collaboratively create an accurate and informative inventory of the trees in their communities.
4. FixMyStreet.ie Ireland's version of FixMyStreet.com - Allow citizens to report, view or discuss local problems (like graffiti, dumping, broken pavements or street lighting)
5. Mapping for Change Mapping for Change works with groups and organisations who want to understand, improve and produce information about the places that matter to them.
6. mPing The United States' NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory is collecting public weather reports through a free app available for smart phones or mobile devices. The app is called mPING which stands for Meteorological Phenomena Identification Near the Ground.
7. Nature's Notebook Nature's Notebook is a national online program where amateur and professional naturalists regularly record observations of plants and animals to generate long-term data sets used for scientific discovery and decision-making.
