OSGeo 한국어 지부의 역사
OSGeo 한국어 지부 설립에 대한 첫 의견은 2007년 9월에 캐나다 빅토리아에서 열렸던 FOSS4G 2007 Confernce 에 참가했던 한국인들의 저녁식사 모임에서 제기되었습니다. 당시 한국인 참가자는 11명이었으나, 이중 서로 약속이 된 5명이 빅토리아의 한 중국식당에서 함께 저녁 식사를 하며 OSGeo 한국 지부를 설립하기로 의견을 모았습니다. 이후 2008년 2월에 신상희, 김건호, 염재홍, 허민, 이춘석 등이 OSGeo 한국어 지부 창설을 위한 활동을 시작하였으며, 본 위키 페이지 또한 마련하였습니다.
OSGeo 한국어 지부의 현 상태
OSGeo 한국어 지부는 현재 자발적인 참여자들의 모임의 행태로 운영 중이며, 향후 법적 실체로 전환할 계획이 있습니다. OSGeo 한국어 지부는 어느 누구에게나 열려 있는 곳이므로 관심과 열정이 있는 많은 분들의 참여 부탁드립니다.
2008년 2월부터 2017년 10월까지 신상희님이 초대 대표로 활동하였습니다.
2017년 10월 이뤄진 OSGeo 한국어 지부 대표 선거에서 유병혁 님이 2대 대표로 선출되었습니다.
2019년 9월 이뤄진 OSGeo 한국어 지부 대표 선거에서 이민파 님이 3대 대표로 선출되었습니다.

About OSGeo Korean Language Chapter
Recent activities
Shin Sanghee as representative of the Korean Local Chapter submitted a short presentation on Korean activities for the AGM at FOSS4G in Denver. Unfortunately Arnulf missed to present it in his name. Download Korean Local Chapter Activities report.
The Korea Local Chapter celebrated their first FOSS4G Korea conference in Seoul, Korea during the SmartKorea event at the Kintex trade fair facility.
Sanghee Shin has served as the representative of OSGeo Korean Chapter since its establishment of the chapter till to October 2017.
OSGeo Korean Chapter has elected Byeong-Hyeok Yu as the 2nd representative at October 2017.
OSGeo Korean Chapter has elected Minpa Lee as the 3rd representative at September 2019.
