Overview

This is not a formal OSGeo project, just a spot to discuss some ideas for creating a general purpose C/C++ geospatial library. The idea is to collaborate on a single library that would include everything from geometry types, geometric analysis, and projection support, to more advanced things like geo-coding functions, topology routines, and routing. The desire is not to re-invent the wheel, but to integrate the best technology today into a single uniform library and make that a common place for collaborating on new geospatial functionality.
