Local Chapters

This page documents the current dicsussion and has not yet been approved as official OSGeo policy!

Local Chapters are operated in their correponding native language. As such they will be the starting point for many people and should therfore be officially sanctioned by the OSGeo board, based on Local Chapter Guidelines. At least one representative of the local chapter should be (must be) member of the OSGeo Foundation. This member will produce a monthly (weekly, quarternary) report in English language to the OSGeo board highlighting progress and potential difficulties.
