Open Science Committee Budget Planning 2019

The OpenGeosSci committee requests to OSGeo a total budget for the 2019 of 6,100 USD.

This is intended to cover:

• 1 hosted event at EGU 2019 (Townhall/Splinter, including catering costs) (2,600 USD)
• Outreach (Open Science, AGU, etc.) (2,000 USD)
• Hackatons (1,000 USD)
• Unforenseen costs (500 USD)

EGU General Assembly

• Event: townhall (EGU Townhall 2019)
• Venue rental: none
• Catering: 2,000 USD (based on previous experience) [required]
• Promotional material: 100 USD (Posters/flyers announcing the event) [required]
• Give aways: 500 USD (production of OSGeo-live USB-drives)
• Sub-Total requested budget: #### USD [Expenses: 1200 EUR / 1400 USD]

Outreach at AGU General Assembly (or other Open Science events)

• Training/Promotional material: 500 USD (Handsout, USB live, Open Hardware, etc.)
• Registrations/travel costs: 1,500 USD

Hackatons / Open Science Sprints

• Catering & handsout: 500 USD
• Venue rental: 500 USD
