Project Incubation in a Nutshell

The goal of the Incubation Process is to fulfill OSGeo requirements for open community operation, implement a responsible project governance model, code provenance and license verification and to ensure general good project operation. Graduating incubation is the OSGeo seal of approval for a project and gives potential users of the project added confidence in the viability and safety of the project.

Project Incubation Committee

The Project Incubation Committee has developed processes inspired by the Apache incubation process.
