Starting this page to collect statistics about projects, or to point to ways/issues for aggregating info. This is critical information for those of us doing presentations to the broader world, who want to see that projects are active, mature and showing progress.

Developer Stats

All OSGeo projects have a project page on ohloh's website. This provides coding stats. See Tyler's "stack" for a list of all the OSGeo projects.

Web Stats

  • OSGeo's main website (www.osgeo.org) has access stats available here.
  • OSGeo also has a server that is for downloading large packages for a couple of the projects. There are stats available for these downloads here.

However, we do not have aggregated stats for all project downloads, especially those that are not hosted on the OSGeo download server. If some log files or stats viewers are available - please add the URL here. If we can set up a regular log rsync to an OSGeo server, then we could eventually get an aggregated view of all OSGeo projects.
