Hi,
I am the main founder of Slashgeo.org, a community-driven ad-free site for geospatial news and discussions. This site has about 10,000 daily hits as of November 2006, reaching thousands of geospatial professionals. I work for Environment Canada at the Canadian Meteorological Centre in Dorval, Qc, Canada. I also co-founded the Applied-GIS-RS mailing list a few years ago and maintain the ARSIST satellite summary table. I participate within the GeoNET network for geospatial issues regarding the Government of Canada.
I helped with the PR French translation for the OSGeo Foundation. I regularly link to OSGeo-related discussions on Slashgeo.
