I used to run slashgeo dot org, a formerly popular community-driven website for geospatial news and discussions which was reaching over 10,000 geospatial enthusiasts daily. I now share geospatial news on the Slashgeo twitter feed.

I work for Environment and Climate Change Canada at the Canadian Meteorological Centre in Dorval, Qc, Canada. We heavily leverage OSGeo software to provide free and open weather and climate data services to the world, serving tens of millions of requests daily, including WMS, WFS and WCS.
