Firman Hadi, currently enrolled as Academic Assistant at Department of Geodesy and Geomatics, Institut Teknologi Bandung. He also serves as Research Associate at Center for Remote Sensing, Institut Teknologi Bandung. He began to interact with Open Source GIS, i.e. GRASS, since 2001 but began to actively use it since 2003. From 2004 until now, has been actively involved in the promotion of Open Source GIS in Indonesia.
