Founded the Geo Academie in 2010, based on a strong belief that education in geo-information is more than ‘knowing which buttons to push’. Sees developments like geographic webservices, open software development and neogeography as the most promising in years and recognizes the challenge that it provides to traditional geo-information science. Responsible for developing new courses in geo-information, both generic (GIS and Geo-information basics, Cartography, Geographic webservices) and applied to software (Starting QGIS, PostGIS, etc.). Aims to help professionals in the use of geo-information for their specific needs.
