Ionuț Iosifescu
Ionuț (pronounced "ionuts") is currently (2019) the technical coordinator of EnviDat, the environmental data portal and research data management repository of the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL, a research institute of the ETH Domain. He graduated with a Diploma in Geodesy from the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest in 2003, a M.Sc. in Computer Science from ETH Zurich in 2009, and received his doctoral degree in Cartography and Geoinformation from ETH Zurich in 2011. He is involved in the open source geospatial community since 2005 by co-initiating the QGIS WMS Server. He is a supporter of FOSS4G in research and higher education, by establishing in 2013 the Open Source Geospatial Laboratory at ETH Zurich.
