Howdy,

I am a long-time GIS/IT/'Net junkie, and am currently working for the City of Nanaimo's IT department as a Sr. Applications Analyst (GIS Specialist). Basically, I ensure that spatial data moves around the organisation as it should and is published to internal and public web maps, as well as building and maintaining applications and databases in support of the City's services.

I am involved in OSGeo as a member of the Website committee and of the MapGuide and FDO Project Steering Committees. I was also on the local organizing committee and workshop committee for FOSS4G2007 in Victoria, BC.

The sophistication of today's open source GIS applications is truly impressive, and I see great promise for collaboration under OSGeo.
