I'm an independent contractor, and have been involved in GIS since the early 1990s. I began working with open-source (Mapserver) in '06. Much of my professional work has been associated with gas/electric utilities or telecoms, and in connection to that I've had exposure to a number of the well known proprietary systems from ESRI, GE, Intergraph, Bentley, Autodesk.
I enjoy the open-source development model and hope to continue working with it.
