I’m an argentinean biologist, with a PhD in Biology and a MS degree in GIS and Remote Sensing (RS). I’m mostly interested in GIS and RS applications for public health and environmental emergencies. In 2013, I did an internship in the former PGIS group at Fondazione Edmund Mach (Trento, Italy) and ever since then I’ve become a GRASS GIS and FOSS fan.
I’ve mostly worked (and still do) with temporal modules of GRASS GIS (see for example the Temporal Data Processing Wiki and derived wikis therein). Since last year, I’ve started doing some RS-GIS consultancy and teaching basic and advanced GRASS GIS workshops/courses with focus on time series processing. At the moment, I work as a postdoc researcher at the Earth Observation Sciences Department in ITC - University of Twente (Enschede, The Netherlands).
