Folks,

We have now completed the elections selecting additional voting members, bring us up to 45 voting members. To all the new members, Welcome!

I would like to encourage all members to do the following:

Visit http://www.osgeo.org and register as a new user if you haven't already registered here. Many member services are organized around the OSGeo portal and in order to get to some foundation material, or to be added to committees you will need to be registered.

Please ensure you are subscribed to the discuss@mail.osgeo.org mailing list. This email is sent via the members mailing list, but we only intend to use this for special advisories specific to voting members such as notice of meetings or votes which members are expected to address. Most general foundation announcements and discussion will take place on the discuss@mail.osgeo.org mailing list.

Please visit the Wiki, and register for an account there. Unfortunately, at this time we don't have a "single signon" between the main web site and the wiki.
