• Huseyin brought up xmap - an AI mapping tool extracting answers from a map. We weren't fully able to ascertain whether whether it was trained on area-relevant data or if it was searching the internet based on the geographical context.

• Ala gave a quick look at some of the work he did using historical DEMs, bathymetry data, and historical georeferenced photos from City of Calgary to model the Glenmore reservoir at the Glenmore Trail causeway to ascertain the structural integrity in the foundation for the pumping station added to the area in 1996. Very interesting. Very cool.

Some suggestions from the chapter for presentations include:

• Show us your side hustle
• Bring us your problems ( stuff you're working on and issues )
• teach something new ( OS Geo projects or other ).
