Translators

OSGeo Translators,

I'm very excited about our next press release as it is a major achievement toward making it easy for people to try Geospatial Open Source Software, and not just at the FOSS4G conference, but around the world.

I hope that you will be able to translate this and forward to your communities.

The press release is final now, but please don't send it until you hear that the LiveDVD has been enabled on the click2try website, which all going well, will be within 24 hours.

Press release and link to translations is at: http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G_2009_Press_Release_35

By the way, I'll also be interested to hear how we should provide translated versions of the LiveDVD. I suggest we discuss this at the Code Sprint at FOSS4G. Feel free to drop by in person, or via IRC on http://freenode.net#foss4g

Add your name here if you plan to come by in person, or virtually: http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G_2009_Code_Sprint#Live_DVD

Project Leaders

16 October 2009

OSGeo Project Leaders,

I'm very excited about our next press release about viewing the OSGeo Virtual Machine in a browser, as it is a major achievement toward making it easy for people to try Geospatial Open Source Software. I think it will likely become our most used marketing tools.

As before, could you please forward this release onto your communities, along with a personal introduction from yourself. Maybe something like "Here is an excellent, easy way to show <insert project> to your friends. Just ... I look forward to hearing your feedback."
