How to flag that there are updates to the versions of apps listed here? That's a good question :) I've hacked together a rough bunch of bash scripts using curl, sed, etc. to give me a brief report of versions for each application. If you are interested in seeing or using them somehow to keep this, or other, pages up to date, let me know.
