I am a geographer specialised in geomatics applied to e-government and a big supporter of "open" and "commons" efforts.

I am working in helping to deploy the INSPIRE Directive already for than 7 years, firstly from the Implementer side while working for the Spanish Mapping Agency and now from the INSPIRE coordination side, working for the European Commission Joint Research Centre.

The families of software that I am particularly familiar with are: GIS, ETL as well as web servers for spatial information and other technologies for the web.
