Malika has been working with Free and Opensource Geospatial technologies since 2008. He is currently working as a GIS Officer for the Ministry of Megapolis in Sri Lanka and also works as a GIS trainer/Visiting Lecturer attached to several institutes such as University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration, etc. He has trained more than 2000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals in public, private and non govermental organizations on GIS, RS and GNSS technologies. His most preferred FOSS4G tools are QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, GeoServer, UMN Mapserver,OSM and further interested in developing tools using Python.
