I'm heavily involved in moving open source solutions into the US Federal Government. For the next three years I'll be working a DoD project pushing Open Technology Development. The first major project will have a geo-spatial focus. I intend to work with the OSGF to demonstrate that open source geo-spatial technologies can adequately support government needs. Key to this will be demonstrating resources for life cycle support of the demonstrated technologies. More to follow...
