Hi,
I am the main founder of Slashgeo.org, a community-driven ad-free site for geospatial news and discussions under a registered non-profit organization. As of February 2009, Slashgeo.org has over 1,850 registered members, about 35,000 daily hits, reaching thousands of geospatial professionals every day.
I work for Environment Canada at the Canadian Meteorological Centre in Dorval, Qc, Canada. I also co-founded the Applied-GIS-RS mailing list a few years ago and maintain the ARSIST satellite summary table (not up-to-date). I participate within the GeoNET network for geospatial issues regarding the Government of Canada.
