Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Nimalika moved to Open source GIS in 2006 as a novice user and application developer of open tools in her research studies related to web-mapping. Since then she has been involved in adopting OSGeo tools in teaching, research and spreading the use of them (particularly QGIS, MapServer, PostgreSQL) in Sri Lanka. She is interested in integrating open source GIS solutions in solving locally important problems and linking the government bodies & other organizations with OSGeo products.
