Personal Description :	A geospatial scientist by training, Thuy has been working as researcher and educator in Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Sweden and Malaysia. He has been an active user of open-source software for his research and teaching including QGIS, GRASS GIS, and Orfeo Toolbox among others. He is currently leading the OSGEO lab at UNMC, a research unit aiming at promoting OSGEO tools and services in Malaysia and Southeast Asian region. Has promoted the uses of OSGEO in Malaysia and the region. Has developed applications using a variety of OSGeo software Established ICA-OSGEO research lab at University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus in 2011 Co-founder OSGEO Malaysia local chapter in 2012 Was elected as OSGeo Charter member in 2013
