Following

Presentations

  • Carpocalypse Calgary
    • Carpocalypse was part of the GeoWomen of Calgary "Data by Design" 2021 datathon. Our project uses curated and processed Open Calgary data to imagine the city without cars, employing Python-based machine learning and spatial analysis in QGIS. We will present our results and give a live demonstration. We are a team of individuals from diverse technical domains, working remotely in three different cities and had not met each other prior to this event. Check out our project in GitHub:

  • Discussion on Projects generally
  • At least some structure is helpful in drawing people to work on projects
  • We can probably hold at the two current potential projects to avoid spreading too thin
  • We'll want to have a place for project notes to be added by participants
  • With each of the projects, we will have the smaller project seed-team(?) have the requirements conversations with the orgs and use that to sketch the projects for new folks joining

  • Bring us your problems ( stuff you're working on and issues )
