Evelyn is a Professor in Geoinformatics and the lead of the Landscape Geoinformatics Lab at the University of Tartu. She is a geospatial scientist whose primary research interests lie in large-scale geospatial data management, data quality, and environmental modelling. Her last five-year research focus has been on machine learning based predictive spatial modelling of environmental variables.
