Remote Administration in case of Failure

Administrative functionality is available through the Integrated Lights Out Manager. http://docs.sun.com/source/819-4358-12/chap2-sw.html has instructions. Chris and John have access. It is available over ssh from the rockscluster machine.

Useful commands include:

  • 'start /SP/console' -> starts a console
  • 'reset /SYS' -> last resort, should reboot the machine
