OSGeo is happy to announce that it will be one of the financial supporters of the 8th annual QGIS Hackfest in Essen, Germany, from 3rd to 7th October 2012. The event will bring developers from around the world to work in the same location for a week, focusing on enhancing the popular Quantum GIS desktop software, a Open Source project. About the Open Source Geospatial Foundation
The Open Source Geospatial Foundation, or OSGeo, is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2006 whose mission is to support and promote the collaborative development of open geospatial technologies and data.
