Sergio is involved in the following projects:

• Road map maintenance using GPS and GIS processing • Train map maintenance using GPS and GIS processing • Design and development of the SDI Node for the MTOP • Design and development (as a member of the GTIDE) of the SDI for Uruguay • Design and collaborative development of a GIS for educational purposes to be used in the Plan Ceibal (OneLaptopPerChild National Initiative) based on gvSIG (Open Source GIS software) • Coordination of the gvSIG-Uruguay Community
